More Art by Emily...

This piece is of my little brother. The assignment was to use marked quality. This is a technique where intead of making shadows through shading, swiggles such as: circles, lines etc. make up all the shadows. My little brother has been through more than most go through in their entire life. He has many horrors in his past that will always haunt him through out his life. He keeps out of the shadows and tries very hard to conquer all of his fears and disabilities. I wanted to show everything he has gone through, and hopefully I was successful.

Mural Updates!

It's coming along!

Can you name the Disney characters in my mural?

Jungle Mural

In Wilmington, Delaware there is an organization known as, The Sunday Breakfast Mission. This charity provides a permanent shelter for those in need. The Mission has just built a new facility. They have given the public the opportunity to adopt a room and furnish it.

I have choosen a nursery, it will be a home to a single mother and her new baby. Each room as certain requirements, I tried to go beyond. I am painting a mural of a jungle scene on one of the walls to make the room seem more like home rather than a homeless shelter. I will be posting pictures to record the process.
